Reporting a bug
The more detail you can include, the faster we can fix it. If you can, please tell us:
- What you were doing when the problem happened
- What you expected to happen vs. what actually happened
- Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- Whether you were on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or offline
- A screenshot or screen recording if the bug is visual

Common questions
I forgot my password.
Open the app, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen, and enter your email. You'll receive a link to set a new password. The link works on any device — open it in the same browser or app where you started.
My GPS isn't locking on.
GPS lock can take 10–30 seconds outdoors, longer when the sky is obscured (dense tree cover, urban canyons). Make sure Ghost Trax has Always or While Using location permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Ghost Trax. If lock fails repeatedly, restarting your iPhone usually resolves it.
My ghost didn't save after a run.
Ghost recordings are saved to your device first, then uploaded when you're online. If you finished a run without a connection, the ghost is queued locally and will upload the next time the app opens with Wi-Fi or mobile data. Check the Settings → Sync screen to see queued items. If a recording appears stuck, email us and include the route name and approximate date.
How do I cancel my Premier subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Ghost Trax. To cancel: open the iOS Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Ghost Trax Premier → Cancel Subscription. Your Premier features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Refund requests are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Ghost Trax Premier purchase, and tap Request a Refund. Apple usually responds within 48 hours. If your issue was caused by a bug on our end, let us know — we'll happily support your refund request.
How do I restore Premier after reinstalling the app?
Open the app → Settings → Premier → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID that originally bought the subscription.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data — routes, ghosts, friend connections, and account record — within seconds. Deletion is irreversible. See our Privacy Policy §8 for the full retention detail.
How do I import my Apple Health workouts?
On first launch the app offers an Apple Health import as part of onboarding. You can also re-run this any time from Settings → Apple Health → Import past runs. Ghost Trax only reads workouts you've explicitly granted access to — see Settings → Privacy & Security → Health on your iPhone to review.
Apple Watch isn't seeing my routes.
Routes sync from iPhone to Watch over the Apple Watch app's connection. Make sure your Watch is paired, on the same Apple ID, and within Bluetooth range of your iPhone (or both on the same Wi-Fi). Open the Ghost Trax app on Watch and pull down to refresh. If routes still don't appear, force-quit Ghost Trax on both devices and re-open.
Why does my route show as private when I want it public?
Open the route in the app, tap Edit, and change the visibility to Friends or Public. Public routes are searchable and any Ghost Trax user can race them. Friends-only routes are visible only to people you've added as friends.
I think someone is misusing the app.
If you encounter inappropriate content or behaviour, email support@ghosttraxapp.com with details and any screenshots. We take abuse reports seriously and aim to act within 24 hours.
